At the center of this year’s festivities is a powerful tribute to Rev. James Robinson , founder of Gospel Vision Music Ministry . For more than 22 years , Rev. Robinson has championed those in need, delivered messages of hope through music and action, and personally touched the lives of 1.5 million people . His journey stems from humble beginnings and the profound example set by his late mother, Verna Mae “Mama” Boone—who spent decades feeding the city’s homeless under bridges and in shelter lines. Reverend Robinson inherited her spirit and, in his words, “her belief that love, even in the smallest acts of service, can transform lives.”
From annual back-to-school drives and food-box distributions to orchestrating what could become San Antonio’s largest Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, his ministry serves more than just meals—it uplifts communities.
